1970 BMW R75/5. We just finished a Factory Major Service (10K). We also cleaned and serviced the neck bearings and cleaned the carburetors. We installed new original Continental braided cloth covered fuel lines, petcock fuel filters, and a new Westco sealed battery. We also mounted and balanced a new Metzeller ME77 rear tire, and balanced the front Metzeller ME33 tire (it’s in very good condition).
The bike is original (as from factory), unrestored, and in Good Condition. The original factory paint is in good condition, with normal minor scratches nicks found on a reasonably well cared for 40 year old BMW. The original bars have some very minor pitting. The original seat cover and edge trim is in good condition. The frame paint is solid, with typical normal wear. The original style “Cigar Tip” /5 chrome mufflers are rust free and solid, but they both have some dents; the left side being worse. There is a period aftermarket loop type engine guard installed. There is a tool tray (not shown in photos), but no tool kit. There is an ignition Knob / Key, but no keys for the neck and seat locks (new are still available). The centerstand has had some reinforcing work. All the cables and rubber parts are in good condition. The front cover has been polished in the past; we could install an unpolished one if you prefer.
This beautiful Vintage BMW is ready to go for a full season of fun and classy riding!
